Fulfilling the Great Commission

It is our job as followers of Christ to build relationships with others. If we do not, who knows if you are the one who would have been another’s chance at coming to know Christ?

Is it sometimes difficult to develop relationships with others whom you share nothing in common? Absolutely! But for whom were you placed on this Earth to serve? Was it not to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ by telling ALL the world of the good news of Jesus??!!!!!

The Bible tells us to go in to ALL, not some of the world and preach the gospel to every living creature.

Mark 16:15

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

Sometimes, God grants is opportunity to speak with someone about Jesus we may never meet or see again. In this case, a relationship can not be built to full extent, but why is it that Christians find it so much easier to tell others about Him in this situation?

Maybe fear of rejection is not prominent because you will never have the chance to be rejected if you will never see this individual again.

But do you not know many people who are unaware of the gospel are more comfortable to talk with someone about Christ with whom they have an established relationship?

Try it out, and think twice before shunning someone with whom you are given the chance to share His good news!

1 Corinthians 1:17

For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
