1 Timothy 3:15
...that thou mayest know how thou ought to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
A quick way to lose your respect as a minister of the House of God is by allowing corruption and mockery to enter...The church is NOT the the place for corruptible practices, and it is the first place where to teach children how to properly behave...
It is a shameful thing as a minister of Christ to consistently attempt to shove spiritual meat down the throats of spiritual babies; babies who need to learn how to live a life meeting repentance before they can ever begin to understand the deep, heavy doctrines of last day prophecy and what is next for the church.
It is a disgrace to the Church to allow secular activities inside the House of God, no matter how “innocent” you claim they are. Remember the Word says to “shun even the appearance of evil.” If secular practices such as turning times of worship into a heavy metal concert, or allowing secular dancing within the church and call it a form of “worship” is your excuse to bring people in, or to add a touch of the world in order to make it more “interesting”, then God have mercy on you, and all you have sucked in to your cult practices.
1 Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
In my recent times of traveling for ministry purposes, I became weary of what many modern churches have had to offer, but I held my peace by instruction from God...does He not know and see what goes on inside and outside of the walls of His Holy places? Will He not chastise those He has put in place to handle the affairs of the church?
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
A couple of years ago, I was chatting with a pastor who shared with me he openly allows children to run around in the sanctuary, stating it “was better that they ran around there, than inside of a bar or club.” These words were irrelevant, considering no small child would be allowed inside of such facilities, and there is absolutely no comparison. What it does mean, is that this pastor is teaching small children and their parents that it is not necessary to discipline nor teach children that for every environment, there is an acceptable behavior. The church, above all, is where children need to be taught respect and dignity, not only for the facility, but for other members of the church, including the pastor. After all, if they are allowed to run around without being taught how to behave in the House of God, what will keep them away from secular facilities when they are older if they cannot tell the difference?
Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
If God has given you the responsibility of being caretakers of His holy facilities, I can guarantee He will never instruct you to act against His Word! Remember, it is entirely crucial, you are running the House of God according to nobody else’s standards but His!
1 Timothy 3:5
For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?
